REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3 year minimum experience deploying and administering MySQL in a Linux environment including experience with MyISAM and InnoDB storage engines
- Experience working in a fast-paced Operations environment administering large-scale, distributed PHP, Ruby and/or Python web applications
- Expert knowledge of MySQL database technologies in establishing and maintaining backup and recovery plans & procedures, administering performance monitoring and capacity planning
- Experience with MySQL user administration
- Experience monitoring database security and establishing minimum security requirements
- Experience managing SQL databases – PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL database experiences is a plus
- Experience with MySQL Master-Slave replication setup, configuration and monitoring – Master-Master experience is a plus
- Experience with Linux HA HeartBeat and MySQL DRBD (Distributed Replicated Block Device) is a plus
- Web programming experience, including PHP, ASP or JSP
- Experience developing and implementing open source software projects in Drupal
- Ability to trouble shoot problems
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to share in 24/7 support
- Bachelor’s degree in computer Science, Computer/Electrical engineering or related discipline
