Mandatory Requirements:

  • Minimum four years hands-on GIS software programming experience, including development of enterprise(server-based) GIS applications, using MapInfo MapXtreme 3.0 or higher.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years hands-on programming experience in server-side Java web applications in a multi-tier environment, including at least one year of development experience in JDK 1.5 or higher.
  • Minimum of five (5) years hands on web page programming experience using HTML and/or Javascript.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience writing Oracle queries and PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers, including at least one year of development experience in Oracle 10g. 
  • Minimum of six (6) years experience programming and developing Java J2EE applications. 

 
  
Desirable Experience

All experience a candidate claims to have must be clearly reflected in the candidate’s Resume with precise indication of number of months or years.
GIS software programming experience including development of enterprise (server-based) GIS applications using ESRI ArcIMS, MapObjects or MapObjects IMS.

  1. Experience writing Adhoc reports using MapInfo Professional.
  2. Experience working on a project team developing and implementing large, complex Java web applications that use Java frameworks and an Oracle database. 
  3. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including experience writing technical and user documentation and experience giving presentations/training.(Both the resume and the personal interview will be used to determine if the candidate satisfactorily meets this qualification.)
  4. Hands-on experience coding JSPs using CSS, JavaScript, and tag libraries.
  5. Experience writing Java programs using Eclipse or an Eclipse-based IDE.
  6. Experience writing Korn scripts that call Java programs and move files via FTP.
  7. Experience programming Java web applications for a health care environment.
