Skills Required:
- A+ Certification;
- 3 Years Experience in the operation of a large scale multi user environment;
- 3 Years Experience in the creation of workstation/laptop images using rapid deployment tools and software;
- 3 Years Experience in the mass deployment of workstations, laptops, printers and other peripheral devices in a multi user environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides Level 2 desktop support, on-site and remote, including, all imaging and/or re-imaging of workstations/laptops;
- Installation of new and redeployed equipment;
- Perform hardware and software patching;
- Performs User account administration including: Active Directory Authentication, Group Email Entitlement, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP);
- Performs Printer administration including: installation, commissioning, spooling and monitoring;
- Install and setup PDA type devices (Blackberry, Palm Pilots, Pocket PCs);
- Perform maintenance on all hardware and software relating to workstations, laptops and PDA devices;
- Runs diagnostic software to ensure that equipment operates properly and takes appropriate corrective action when required;
- Installs, configures and/or customizes software and ensures that the configurations meets Agency requirements;
- Monitors Help Desk Problem Tracking Systems for end user requests;
- Participates in the retirement of Computer equipment;
- Run/analyze reports per operational procedures;
- Proactively review event logs, performance reports and complete regular system verifications;
- Prepare, attend, participate and complete action items for all Change Control activities;
- Manage connectors to other email systems;
- Manage small projects for implementation of new components ;
- Provide operational and procedural documentation.
